NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Bluegrass favorites The Kody Norris Show and Darin & Brooke Aldridge along with Elaine Roy, Elizabeth Anne, Steve Bridgmon, Jessica McNear, Mike Ponder and Brandon Lee, to perform at ‘AMP UP 4 KIDS NIGHT’ to benefit MUSIC AMPLIFIES at The Troubadour located at 2412 Music Valley Drive in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday, November 10th at 7:00 PM! Doors open at 6:15 PM.

With the help of these amazing artists, Music Amplifies is stepping up and hosting its annual benefit concert this season to raise additional funds. The goal is to go beyond providing toys and assist in other ways that were not possible before.

“Our first season out of the gate providing toys, we heard of other needs, like coats, shoes, and even beds, which platinum recording artist and ambassador Chase Matthew bought for a young boy our first year,” shares President and Founder Wanette Robertson. “We realized quickly that we needed additional resources to help in other ways as needs were presented to us that were more personal, so AMP UP 4 KIDS NIGHT was created from that realization. Our vision is to gather more volunteers and music ambassadors to partner with us to ‘amp up’ and offer support year-round in Middle Tennessee. We want to expand and increase our support in the area and even beyond the state. Tennessee has a high poverty rate, and it will take all of us working together to make a difference.”

In 2021, a few kind volunteers collected and delivered Christmas toys, assisting 387 children with their partners. In 2022, with an established board of six, the number of children who needed help increased to 475 kids. Wanette shares, “In 2023, it jumped to nearly 600 kids and another 300 in impact after adding veterans and aged programs. The need seems to grow every year.”

Additional Information On Child Poverty In Tennessee:

• 21.1% of TN children live in poverty

• Nearly half of TN children are economically disadvantaged

• One in four food-insecure households also do not qualify for food or government programs

Their goal is to increase funding to be able to assist year-round and, in 2023, expanded to include veterans and senior programs as well as to continue to serve kids. Since its beginnings in 2021, platinum recording artist Chase Matthew stepped in to be their first ambassador, helping lead the charge, and assisting in providing toys for children, identified by Kiwanis for Kids, United Way, and the YMCA of Robertson County, TN. Since then, they have added additional partners and expanded to Sumner County and North Davidson counties with their efforts.
