January 31, 2025 – Nashville, TN) One of Nashville’s most captivating new stars, Grace Tyler, has released her latest autobiographical track, “I Hope You Have a Daughter” – out now. The incredibly personal track, written by Tyler, is both a heartbreaking reflection of a failed relationship and a foreboding message to her ex.
“’I hope you have a daughter’—words that have never felt more true. My only hope for the man who broke me is that one day, he truly understands the pain he caused. That he watches his own daughter love with all her heart, only to see it shattered by someone who treats her the way he treated me. Only then, when he feels the weight of her heartbreak, will he understand what he did to someone else’s daughter—to me.
This song is my story, written entirely on my own because I had no choice. Every word is a reflection of my life, my pain, and the bittersweet reality of saying goodbye to someone I once loved.” -Grace Tyler
“I Hope You Have a Daughter” follows Tyler’s other recent releases, “Weak Man,” which chronicles the weighted decision to leave a relationship, and “Lose Me,” a powerful track on reclaiming your self-worth and identity. The songs expertly teeter the emotional line between heartbreak and triumph – both empowering anthems about choosing yourself and tackling the hard decision to finally leave.
These tracks can be found on Tyler’s upcoming EP, Everything I Didn’t Say, which is out on March 14th. This collection of music is a cathartic examination of the loss of a deeply committed relationship that was pulled from Tyler’s own experience. The tracks showcase her soaring vocals and masterfully written storytelling.
“Everything I Didn’t Say. Six songs that perfectly summarize the last six months of my life. I look back on the night that everything ended between me and someone I thought I was going to spend forever with and wish I had told him so much more than I did. But that’s the thing about breakups – the words seem to come easier in the weeks that follow than when you’re standing face-to-face calling it quits. These songs are the things that I would say to him if I saw him tomorrow. The things that went unsaid. The things I cried to my friends about. The things I would’ve done differently. This project walks you through every step of my breakup – from the initial shock, to coming to the realization that I deserve so much more. I hope this EP connects with everyone who’s ever experienced true heartbreak. It healed me in so many ways, and I hope it does the same to the listener.” -Grace Tyler
