November 15, 2024 – Nashville, TN Prolific Country music stars, The Randy Rogers Band, took the stage at the iconic Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos, TX on November 13thfor a special benefit concert to present two checks for The Kent Finlay Legacy Endowed Scholarship in Texas Music History and the Tommy Foote Memorial Scholarship Fund. The star-studded event included performances from Country hitmakers such as The Randy Rogers Band, Jon Pardi, William Beckmann, Tucker Wetmore, Priscilla Block and Austin Snell. The funds raised from Cheatham Street Warehouse’s 50th Anniversary Street Party (October 20th, 2024), brought in $37,500 for each fund for a total of $75,000 raised.
The Kent Finlay Legacy Endowed Scholarship in Texas Music History was established in 2018 by Darcy and Rick Hardy, Randy Rogers, Randy Rogers Band, and the Cheatham Street Partners, LLC to help expand music history departments at Texas State University. In addition, The Tommy Foote Memorial Scholarship is awarded to Texas State University students in the College of Liberal Arts who are studying Texas music history and dedicated to celebrating Texas music heritage.
