Reviewers are applauding Counting Rainbows:

“Hayden is exploring the allure of love’s highs in her intoxicating anthem, ‘High Enough (feat. Jason Nix)’.”

Diana Lauver, COWGIRL MAGAZINE

“While so many others are trying to become country, Lexie Hayden does what she wants as she honors one of the most influential eras in songwriting history. This collection of masterpieces has something for everyone.”

– Bethany Bowman, THE TENNESSEE STAR

“‘High Enough’ captures the euphoric rush that comes with being so deeply infatuated that nothing else compares.”

– Donna Block, MEDIUM

“From the rustic glow of 1970s to the jingle-jangle of the ’90s, each track transports the listener to a different place and time.”

– Bee Delores, COUNTRYPOLITAN

“With the anticipation continuing to build on the album release from one of Nashville’s most sought-after songwriters, Lexie Hayden uses the lure of the easy to connect with emotions in ‘High Enough’ to position herself in front of eager listeners while moving into buzzworthy industry status that inches her closer to blurring the songwriter line into the tag of ‘artist to watch.'”

– Jeffrey KURTIS, TODAY’S COUNTRY MAGAZINE

“The album blends multiple genres, infusing elements of the 70s and 80s while staying true to the contemporary country sound emerging from Nashville today.”

– Heather Mathis, WTVF Talk of the Town

Inspired by classic sounds from the ’70s to the ’90s, each track reflects the raw emotions of Hayden’s experiences over the past year, culminating in a message of hope and personal growth.

In September, Hayden released the single and music video for the focus track off the album, “High Enough (feat. Jason Nix).” This marks Hayden and Nix’s second duet together, following their 2022 release “Breaking Up,” which was featured on the CMT 12-pack Countdown. “High Enough” also landed on key playlists such as Spotify’s All New Country, Fresh Finds Country and CMT’s The Roundup, among others. Nix, who earned his first songwriter No. 1 and the 2021 ACM Song of the Year for Lainey Wilson’s “Things A Man Oughta Know,” also stars alongside Hayden in the music video for “High Enough.” The scenic video was filmed by Cait McNaney in Hartsville, Tennessee. With vivid imagery and a driving melody, Hayden delivers a relatable narrative that will resonate with anyone who’s ever chased that all-consuming feeling.

Countrypolitan exclusively premiered the music video for “High Enough,” noting that in the video “the sun drenches the camera lens, capturing the feel of a live performance and woods decorate the edges of the frame to boost with an organic sensibility.”
