NASHVILLE, TENN. – Award winning artist / songwriter ERNEST is most added this week with 60 first week stations as his first-ever solo single, “Would If I Could,” impacts country radio. Written by legendary songwriters Dean Dillon and Skip Ewing, ERNEST first found and fell in the love with the song while making of his latest album, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE.

“Would If I Could” marks the CMA Award nominee’s lead radio single from NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, which released in April as a tribute to ERNEST’s hometown and the creatives that make up the fabric of Music City.

The album debuted to rave reviews, with Billboard noting ERNEST’s “songwriting acumen has become a not-so-secret hitmaking weapon in Nashville’s songwriting circles, stealthily helping to fashion the sound of modern-day country music” and The Tennessean echoing more than any performer, ERNEST best represents how, in the next decade, the communal spirit driving country music in Nashville will likely redefine popular culture worldwide.

In 2024, ERNEST earned two ACM Award nominations for New Male Artist of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year, as well as a nomination in the CMA Awards’ Song of the Year category. His album placed on Billboard’s Best Albums Of The Year So Far list among others. A 2X Variety Hitmaker and 2X CMA Triple Play Award winner, ERNEST co-penned the Hot 100 record-breaking single, “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone feat. Morgan Wallen. He has 11 No.1s as a songwriter to date, including chart-topping songs by Jelly Roll, Post Malone, Sam Hunt, Kane Brown, Morgan Wallen, Chris Lane and more.

Featured by CBS Mornings, Live With Kelly and Mark, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Kelly Clarkson ShowAccess Daily, ABC News Live with Linsey Davis (4/16), Los Angeles TimesThe Tennessean, Billboard, People and more, ERNEST resonates.

With 1.8 billion global on-demand career streams to date and counting, he’s proven to be more than just a game-changing, behind-the-scenes force who helped define a generation, but also a maverick that “creates a sound all his own” (Pollstar). NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE is the follow up to ERNEST’s 2021 debut album, FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM), which featured the 2X Platinum title-track “Flower Shops.” To shop “Would If I Could” vinyls and bundles for NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, visit HERE. To listen to NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, visit HERE.

ABOUT ERNEST

Nashville’s most unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is “The Charmer” (MusicRow): a triple threat talent who “creates a sound all his own” (Pollstar) and one of Music City’s defining artist-writers who continues to push and challenge the artistic status quo. The 2X ACM Award nominee (2024), 2X CMA Triple Play Award winner, and 2022 / 2023 Variety Hitmaker fuses influences ranging from Eminem to George Jones, crafting a twist-heavy verse style that’s become his signature, proving its mettle, and earning him eleven No. 1 hits as a songwriter and one No. 1 at country radio himself. The eccentric free spirit just released his highly anticipated full-length sophomore album, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, a set that “maintain(s) Nashville’s tethering to its legendary history while wholly embracing the soul of the city’s future” (The Tennessean), featuring 26 new songs and collaborations with genre tastemakers Lainey Wilson, Lukas Nelson, Jelly Roll, HARDY, and more. The album has been shortlisted as one of the Best of the Year So Far by Billboard, The Tennessean, and Country Now, following in the footsteps of its critically acclaimed predecessor, FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM), and its cleverly-expanded deluxe edition, FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM): Two Dozen Roses, which added a baker’s dozen of fresh cuts to the bunch. ERNEST is currently headlining his Legalize Country Music Roadshow before opening arenas for Jelly Roll through the end of the year.

More than any performer, ERNEST best represents how, in the next decade, the communal spirit driving country music in Nashville will likely redefine popular culture worldwide”

– The Tennessean

“From hitmaker to historian…Ernest is reviving the sound of classic country music.”
