$230,500 RAISED FOR A MITCHELL TENPENNY’S 10PENNY FUND

Nashville, Tenn. – (October 11, 2024)  In the last two weeks, CMA New Artist of The Year nominee, Mitchell Tenpenny has raised $230,500 for his 10Penny Fund with his third annual Music Row Cornhole Tournament, an in store at jeweler David Yurman, online auctions, sponsor and partner donations and an incredibly generous -and surprise -donation from Jordan Davis.

Last week, Mitchell participated in an instore signing at David Yurman as they donated 10% of their store sales that day to the Fund and the following day held his third annual cornhole tournament at Sony Publishing on Music Row. Additional partners and sponsors have contributed monetary donations or merchandise items for an online auction to help with the grand tally, with the bidding ending today.

In Toronto last week Mitchell, a special guest on Jordan’s “Damn Good time Tour,” was asked to return to the stage where he was surprised with the $200,000 donation. The contribution was not only from the Toronto show but from every stop on the tour this year. Jordan’s donation brings the total amount raised this month for the 10Penny Fund to $230,500.

Mitchell’s third annual Cornhole Tournament was held in the parking lot of Sony Music Publishing on Music Row. The event included Gavin Adcock, Graham Barham, CMT’s Carissa Culiner, Ryan Charles, Reid Haughton, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Travis Denning, LANCO, Tracy Lawrence and Chris Young. The winning cornhole team went to songwriters Jared Mullins and Matt Alderman.

Mitchell Tenpenny created the 10Penny Fund in 2018 out of his own personal experience with cancer, losing his father to the disease in 2014. He has a sincere desire to help to provide inspirational support to cancer patients and their families beyond traditional medical treatment. The Fund invests in sustainable + meaningful programs that motivate patients, encourage healing and build a community of support.

Year-round Mitchell supports the fund by bringing awareness to the fight against cancer as well as hosting fundraisers whether that be proceeds from a live concert, sporting event, merchandise sales and more.
