Red Oak, TX- July 12th, 2024- The UBBI is proud to announce its “Resurrection” as the United Bulls and Broncs Incorporated. In early 2024, Jimmy Ray, Danny Reagan, and Andy Carter came together to form the new group that will bring new ideas to the arena for the animal athletes. For the first time, bucking horses will also compete alongside the bucking bulls.
“Many of the ‘founding members’ include some of the biggest and most respected names in the rodeo industry, like JB Mauney, Pete Carr Pro Rodeo, Stace Smith Pro Rodeo, McCoy Ranches, S3 Pro Rodeo Ranches, Canadian Made Bucking Horses, United Pro Rodeo, New Star Pro Rodeo, and more.”

“Many of the ‘founding members’ include some of the biggest and most respected names in the rodeo industry, like JB Mauney, Pete Carr Pro Rodeo, Stace Smith Pro Rodeo, McCoy Ranches, S3 Pro Rodeo Ranches, Canadian Made Bucking Horses, United Pro Rodeo, New Star Pro Rodeo, and more,” says Andy Carter, CEO. “The years of experience in the rodeo world we have behind this is what will make this work and take our sport to a new level.”
At each event, the UBBI will produce a “Rodeo Team” event for the fans. That night will match up 60 of the top riders in the country with the best 20 bareback horses, 20 saddle bronc horses, and 20 bulls that the UBBI Contractors and Breeders can put together. Each team will be made up of one bareback horse, one saddle bronc horse, and one bull. The animals will be scored just like the riders in other events, and at the end of the night, the team with the most points will walk away $30,000 richer.
The UBBI will also host events for the younger rodeo athletes that are not ready for riders yet with an all-new Divisional format. These young horses and bulls will be competing for their share of the prize purse and the title of Champion in each division of the Open, Challenger, Limited, and Contender Divisions.
“We are super excited about this new format,”

“We are super excited about this new format,” stated Membership Director Rickey West. “We are giving the breeders and contractors that have any level of talent in their animals a place to come compete against other animals in their league and win. This is what we believe will be the key factor in the success of the UBBI and will do for our sport what the numbering system for team ropers and the 4D format has done for barrel horse industry.”
The UBBI will be producing its first event along with the Rush Herrington Memorial Rodeo on October 25-26 in Palestine, Texas. For tickets and more information on the rodeo, visit Rush Herrington Memorial Fund.
