DULUTH, Ga. – The Carolina Cowboys knocked off the Kansas City Outlaws by one ride score, 178.5-86.5, Sunday afternoon in Duluth, Georgia, furthering their grasp on the No. 1 rank in the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series and remaining undefeated.

Carolina, which traveled to Gas South Arena fresh off making history at the season-launch event two weeks prior in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as they recorded the highest aggregate score for any team in just the third perfect game in league history, is the only undefeated team in the league with a perfect 5-0 record. They began their showdown with the Outlaws after defeating the then-lossless Arizona Ridge Riders on Friday night and the Austin Gamblers on Saturday.

On Sunday, Carolina looked to log their fifth straight win against the Kansas City Outlaws.

Bookending the game with rides from Cooper Davis and Sage Steele Kimzey, Carolina won by 92 points, 178.5-86.5. The Outlaws avoided being shut out as Koltin Hevalow covered in the bottom of the second.

“It’s been a long road from last season,” Kimzey said after securing the victory. “Everybody talked about how talented the Carolina Cowboys were. And everybody saw how far the talent got us. This year, it’s digging deep and really finding out a way to win. This is a hard sport. I couldn’t be more proud of these guys, the coaching staff, and the front office. There’s a reason this organization is doing so good.”

The Carolina Cowboys now turn their focus to the upcoming event in Florida firmly ranked No. 1 in the league, two games ahead of the No. 2 Arizona Ridge Riders.

Kansas City, who went 1-2 in Georgia, slipped from No. 3 to No. 5 in the league, now with a 3-2 record.

The final day of neutral-site competition inside Gas South Arena – the second event of the 12-event regular season – featured the first-ever showdown between the league’s only two champions – the 2022 Champion Nashville Stampede and 2023 Champion Texas Rattlers.

Nashville cruised to a three-score victory, defeating the Rattlers 258.75-0. The Stampede’s win was powered by 8-second efforts from Ednelio AlmeidaMason Taylor and Kaiden Loud.

When gameplay concluded, Nashville went a perfect 2-0 in Georgia to improve to 3-2 across the 2024 season. They gained four positions in the league standings, rising from No. 7 to No. 3, climbing within two games of No. 1 Carolina.

Texas delivered a 1-2 record inside Gas South Arena. They slipped to 2-3 throughout the campaign, dropping from No. 6 to No. 7 in the league standings.

In the first game of the afternoon, the New York Mavericks reached a crucial team milestone, logging their first victory, upsetting the scoreless Oklahoma Wildcatters 85.5-0. The win was earned courtesy of a crucial fourth-frame score from Leandro Machado.

Via the win, the Mavericks went 1-1 in Georgia and are now 1-4 throughout 2024, remaining No. 10 in the league. Oklahoma left the Peach State having gone 1-1, now with a 3-2 season record. They remained No. 4 in PBR Teams.

The Missouri Thunder registered an upset victory against the Arizona Ridge Riders Sunday afternoon. Courtesy of scores from Dawson Gleaves and Grayson Cole, Missouri beat Arizona by 84.75 points, 174-89.25.

The Ridge Riders staved off a scoreless loss as veteran Eduardo Aparecido converted in the second.

Missouri left Georgia having gone 1-1 and are now 2-3 in 2024. They rose two positions in the league standings, climbing from No. 8 to No. 6.

Arizona concluded the league’s first neutral-site event with a 1-2 record inside Gas South Arena, now 3-2 across the season. They remained No. 2 in PBR Teams.

The event in Georgia then concluded with the Shootout Round, featuring one rider from each of the day’s winning teams. As the only rider to make the 8-second whistle, the Nashville Stampede’s Alan de Souza won the special round, besting Dark Thoughts for 87.75 points. Souza also led Nashville to victory with a Shootout score on the opening night of the event.

PBR Teams, launched in July 2022, builds on the existing structure of professional bull riding with the same basic rules for judging and scoring qualified 8-second bull rides. In events staged in a tournament-style format, all teams compete in head-to-head matchups against a different opponent each day. Each game features five riders per team squaring off against another team. Full team rosters are comprised of seven riders on the Protected Roster and five Reserve riders. The team with the highest aggregate score of qualified rides among its riders is declared the winner of each game. All PBR Teams events are carried on either the CBS Television Network, streaming live on Paramount+, or Merit Street Media.
