DULUTH, Ga. – At the first neutral site PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series event of the 2024 season this past weekend in Duluth, Georgia, the league’s reining Champion Texas Rattlers went 1-2 in game play, returning to the Lone Star State ranked No. 7 in the league.
As competition got underway, the Texas Rattlers took on the Florida Freedom. The Rattlers’ title-winning form was on full display, as Brady Oleson and Marcelo Procopio Pereira converted in the first two frames to lead them past Florida by 86.5 points, 174.25-87.75.
When Texas returned to Gas South Arena on Saturday night, they looked to repeat their success as they played the Arizona Ridge Riders. Texas, however, stumbled, falling to Arizona by two ride scores, 172-341.5. The 8-second efforts from Joao Ricardo Vieira and Brady Fielder, were not enough to hold off a hard-charging Arizona squad that went 4-for-5.
Texas then looked to conclude their outing inside Gas South Arena with a win against the 2022 PBR Teams Champion Nashville Stampede. The game marked the first time two PBR Teams World Champions played one another.
In uncharacteristic form, Texas was shutout by PBR’s bovine superstars, going 0-for-5 as they lost to Nashville 0-258.75.
Going 1-2 in Georgia, the Rattlers are now 2-3 across 2024. They slipped from No. 6 to No. 7 in the league, now trailing the No. 1 Carolina Cowboys by three games.

PBR Teams, launched in July 2022, builds on the existing structure of professional bull riding with the same basic rules for judging and scoring qualified 8-second bull rides. In events staged in a tournament-style format, all teams compete in head-to-head matchups against a different opponent each day. Each game features five riders per team squaring off against another team. Full team rosters are comprised of seven riders on the Protected Roster and five Reserve riders. The team with the highest aggregate score of qualified rides among its riders is declared the winner of each game. All PBR Teams events are carried on either the CBS Television Network, streaming live on Paramount+, or Merit Street Media.
