Nashville, TN (July 19, 2024) – River House is pleased to announce the release of Grant Gilbert’s defiant single, “This Ain’t That Song.” The track, written by Gilbert, Dan Agee, and Beau Bailey, is an upbeat breakup song that celebrates the moment you regain the freedom to live life on your terms and the exhilaration of being single again. With Gilbert’s signature catchy and relatable lyrics, “This Ain’t That Song” reminds you that breakups aren’t always bad.

This ain’t that song you want to hear/That achy breaky tear in my beer
Ain’t no I was wrong you were right /Or I can’t stand another lonely night
It’s a raise your glass don’t let the door hit ya/No looking back cause I ain’t gonna miss ya
Bet you wanna hear about how I can’t move on/But this ain’t that song

“This one is for the girl who wanted you to write her a love song but didn’t deserve it,” says Gilbert.  “She did you wrong, but she wants you to be sad and sorry, but you’re everything but that…. So, This Ain’t That Song.”

Grant Gilbert, one of River House Artists’ rising stars in the country music scene, had a landmark year in 2023. In addition to releasing his well-received EP Between the Highways,  the Lone Star State native logged his first number one on the Texas Regional Radio chart with his rowdy drinking track “Six Pack State of Mind” featuring fellow Texan Josh Abbott. The hit track, released last spring, marked the first chart milestone for Gilbert. He received his second consecutive Texas number one with “Promise You Me,” setting the stage for his latest track, “Drunk Since Dallas.”

You can catch Gilbert on a run of shows in Texas this summer. For tickets and more information, visit grantgilbertmusic.com and keep up with him on TikTokInstagram, and Facebook.

ABOUT GRANT GILBERT

Cut from the Texas country cloth yet rocking a style of his own design, River House artist Grant Gilbert has a history of self-made wins, streaming success, and big-name believers. Raised on a cattle ranch in tiny Santo, Texas, Gilbert was inspired by everything from his grandparents’ Texas swing and fiddle tunes to his dad’s penchant for Springsteen, Petty, and the country hits of the ‘80s. He dove head first into Lubbock, Texas, a town famous for its vibrant live-country scene, while a student at Texas Tech. He eventually made his way to Nashville, where he spent time writing with hit songwriters like Brad Clawson, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Dan Isbell, as well as recording with producer/songwriter Jonathan Singleton. Tracks like “She Goes Home (Dirty Breakup Song),” “God & Everyone,” and “What’s Stopping Us” racked up nearly 2 million streams on Spotify alone, mixing that gritty Lubbock edge with a youthful passion for life and love. Gilbert had a landmark year in 2023 with the release of his well-received EP Between the Highways and logged his first number one on the Texas Regional Radio chart with his rowdy drinking track “Six Pack State of Mind” featuring fellow Texan Josh Abbott. He also released his flirtatious track, “Turn It Down,” as a duet with Ashland Craft. Gilbert has always been his own man, working to make his place in the world. With big things on the horizon, he won’t stop now.
