“To me, country music is supposed to have meaning and tell a story.

That is exactly what my goal was when we went into the studio with these songs.

I also wanted to produce songs that sound like the real country music we grew up listening to.”

ABOUT WILLIE TRAYWICK

Willie Traywick’s upbringing in Wilsonville, Alabama shaped his journey, a tale vividly narrated in his single “Southern Sky.” Raised amidst the charm of his small hometown, a guitar was a constant presence in his household. Willie was encouraged by his father to pursue music, but Willie’s passion was elsewhere – at the local dirt track, where he found solace and excitement. As he grew older, he ventured into racing, embracing it wholeheartedly and finding success on the track.
 

However, amidst the roar of engines, an unassuming guitar lay dormant in his closet, silently beckoning for attention. Gradually, Willie heeded its call, teaching himself to play at intimate gatherings and bonfires. Despite his burgeoning music interest, his focus remained on racing, fueled by his achievements and collaborations with esteemed figures in the racing world.
 

Yet, fate intervened one night when Willie was unexpectedly called on stage to perform. Guided by the wisdom of a seasoned artist, Willie found himself drawn to the prospect of a music career. With unwavering dedication, he honed his craft, recording in Nashville, gracing prestigious venues with his presence, and earning radio airplay for his heartfelt compositions.

 Despite his newfound passion for music, Willie never forgot his racing roots. Now, as he plans to return to the track full-time, he intends to balance his racing pursuits with his flourishing career as a touring and recording artist.
