NASHVILLE, TN – (April 5, 2024) – Self-penned by Brook Ellingworth, “Like It Was The First Time” is about that first kiss that changed everything for you. Picture going back to that first kiss with that particular person and reliving it.
Perhaps it is with the person you are with today, or maybe it was the one that got away. The song’s texture reflects the wave of emotions your heart feels after having a moment so intimate and electric with someone who leaves such an imprint on your life. The lyrics tell a story about a boy that wants to go back to the night he met someone, that turned his world upside down, but he never saw them again.
“With the plan of recording my first single, there was no question on how I would go about it. I already had many songs under my belt, but I wanted something fresh, and ‘Like It Was The First Time” was screaming at me to be shared with the world,”
“I asked my good friend Jake Burns if we could get in the studio with his session guys, and the following week, we hit the ground running at Curb Studios with this band of incredible musicians and gave this song wings. I am so excited to share this song with everyone!”
BROOK ELLINGWORTH
“Brook brought me this song. He asked if we could get a band together and record a full version of it.
Literally, it was the first time for him and I to capture a full production recording in Nashville.
I have been recording and mixing for 25 years in this town (Nashville), but this project came together like Brook and I had worked together for decades.
“Like It Was The First Time” shows his maturity as an artist and writer,”

“LIKE IT WAS THE FIRST TIME” LYRICS
“We Were, Both Young And Wild At Heart,
Still A Little Far Apart,
Between My, Leather Jacket And Your Soft Skin
That’s The, Air I Wanna Breath Again
So, Take My Heart For Another Round,
Shoot Me Straight Don’t Water Me Down,
Look Through Me With Those Fiery Eyes,
You Made Everyone Else Disappear,
Its Just You And Me In The Stratosphere,
Let Me Spin You Around And Kiss You Like I Did That Night,
Like It Was The First Time…”

ABOUT BROOK ELLINGWORTH
Rising Country singer-songwriter Brook Ellingworth is quickly making a name for himself in the music industry with his personal, heartfelt lyrics, driving melodies, and hooks that will, well, have you hooked from the first listen.
Raised on Country and Rock n Roll in a small town outside of Oxford England, the British 25-year-old singer-songwriter creates
songs that will touch your heart.
Picking up the guitar and writing songs from an early age, Brook had his dreams in plain sight. Taking the stage for the first time at age 11 had him chasing the next gig after the next. A trip to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2018, shortly after dropping out of University, Brook found his voice as a Country Artist, returning to his roots.
Over the years, flying back and forth across the pond has grown Brook as an artist. From sharing stages in Nashville with hit songwriters to opening for Grady Spencer & The Works at Hernando’s Hideaway in Memphis, TN, playing a slot supporting Rob Baird at Farm Fest in Arkansas, to making his Austin, Texas debut at Shiners Saloon.
The list goes on. Playing regular gigs in Oxford, London, and around the UK, whether it’s acoustic or with his band, you will never be left disappointed by a Brook Ellingworth show. As an independent artist, Brook released his first body of work, the ’Dive Bars & Heartbreaks’ EP in January ’23. With a sold-out show at the Jericho Tavern in Oxford, this
launched his solo career.
A live acoustic EP recorded by Jake Burns, just Brook, and a collection of vintage guitars in a room graced by many country legends over at Loud Recording Studio in Nashville, TN, in the summer of ’22. Three of the six track EP were co-written with hit song-writer Greg Crowe, these consisting of the title track ‘Dive Bars & Heartbreaks’, and fan favourites ’Truck Stop’ & ’Margarita on The Dash’. Stay tuned as Ellingworth’s plans for 2024 include new releases with a much bigger sound, straight from Curb Studios in Nashville TN.
