RAJ KAPOOR RETURNS AS EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF THE 59TH ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS

HaleighNASHVILLE, Tennessee—February 14, 2024—The Academy of Country Music (ACM) and Dick Clark Productions (DCP) today announced that Raj Kapoor will return as executive producer and showrunner, with Patrick Menton as co-executive producer for the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards, coming off of their success working on this year’s GRAMMY Awards.
The ACM Awards are set for May 2024 from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on Prime Video.
Additional details, including hosts, nominees, performers, and ticket on-sale details, will be announced in the months ahead.

Kapoor has earned six Emmy Award nominations and won Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) for executive producing Adele: One Night Only.
Kapoor’s credits include showrunner and executive producer for The 66th Academy Awards and the past three GRAMMY Awards.
His distinguished work also includes the Latin GRAMMY Awards, Emmy Awards, Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration, Norman Lear: 100 Years of Music and Laughter, and The Disney Family Singalong specials.
Menton has dedicated over 20 years forging trusted relationships with the world’s most renowned talent.
The Emmy-nominated producer’s illustrious career is marked by some of music’s most celebrated award ceremonies, including the GRAMMY Awards, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and other distinguished music series and specials.
Among these, notable projects include Christmas at Graceland, Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas, The X Factor, Miley Cyrus Presents Stand By You, We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert Live from Central Park, and TikTok’s In The Mix.
The 59th Academy of Country Music Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions, with Barry Adelman serving as executive producer for DCP and Damon Whiteside serving as executive producer for the Academy of Country Music.
John Saade will also continue to serve as a consulting producer for Amazon MGM Studios.
The 2023 ACM Awards, hosted by global superstars Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, garnered more than 7.7 million viewers on Prime Video plus additional viewership across Amazon Music, the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, and Amazon Live, making it one of the most-watched awards shows of the year.
The night featured an all-star lineup of memorable moments, including 18 show-stopping performances from 25 artists, along with exclusive collaborations and unexpected moments that captivated fans worldwide, including duets from Ed Sheeran and Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll, Cole Swindell and Jo Dee Messina, Carly Pearce and Trisha Yearwood, and Ashley McBryde, along with an all-star ensemble featuring Brandy Clark, Caylee Hammack, Pillbox Patti, and John Osborne.
The Academy’s highest honor, ACM Entertainer of the Year, was awarded to Chris Stapleton for the first time.
HARDY and Lainey Wilson led the night in total wins with four each, followed by Cole Swindell with three wins.
The 59th ACM Awards will mark a return to Texas for the second year.
Ford Center at The Star in Frisco opened in 2016 and serves as the state-of-the-art practice facility for the Dallas Cowboys, as well as the home for many major sporting events throughout the year.
Last year’s ACM Awards were the first awards show to take place at Ford Center.
