The honest and sincere single, with lyrics full of raw emotion, was co-written by Allie Colleen, Sara Brice and Lee Brice.

The song creates a space for the characters to call it quits before they start to resent one another— before things get bad before the papers are filed, before the tough decisions have to be made.
