ChristinaAfter the 99th Tucson Rodeo Parade this morning, Rodeo performances kicked into high gear this afternoon! We started with Tanner Aus scoring an 88.0 in Bareback Riding, moving into second place. Olin Hannum had the day’s best Steer Wrestling time of 5.4 which puts him in 3rd place. Team Roping duo Jake Cooper Clay and Trey Yates slid into first place with their time of 5.1. In Saddle Bronc, Kolby Wanchuk earned a 80.0, which places him in 9th place. Today’s Tie Down Roping competition earned Tyler Boxleitner a score of 9.7, and 6th place in the current standings. Great competition in Bull Riding lead to 4 new members of the top 12 including Chase Dougherty who scored 88.5 and is now at the top of the standings. Tomorrow’s competition continues with the 4th performance as another set of athletes compete for a chance to make it into the Tucson Rodeo Finals on Sunday.
