NASHVILLE, TN (February 14, 2023) – River House Artists’ up-and-coming singer-songwriter Reid Haughton released his tender new single, “She Is,” available everywhere today. Inspired by Haughton’s girlfriend, the track was written with friends John Morgan and Bryce Mauldin and produced by Sadler Vaden (Morgan Wade, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit). The fan-favorite, which has 5 million impressions on TikTok, finds Haughton reflecting on how fortunate he is to be in a relationship with someone who sees the best parts of him singing “she is what I ain’t/and she does what I can’t/no matter how hard I try/there’s no way that I/could see what she sees/when she sees me/and all the things I’ll never be and more/everything I’m looking for.”
“I wrote ‘She Is’ on one of my first visits to Nashville, long before I ever had a publishing deal,” says Haughton. “I wrote it with John Morgan and Bryce Mauldin in the River House studio. Before it was even finished, the work tape sounded incredible and we knew we had a great song on our hands. It has been the favorite amongst people closest to me since it was written and I can’t wait for the world to hear it.”

The single release is accompanied by a music video, shot by Emma Kate Golden, which premiered on YouTube today and can be found here.
Last month, Haughton was featured in Hoda’s Morning Boost on NBC’s TODAY after his TikTok video went viral. In the video, Haughton soothes his friend’s crying baby by performing the track. Check out the TODAY shoutout here.
This week, Haughton wraps up a run of dates with Tyler Booth, but you can catch Haughton on tour through the spring. For tickets and more information, visit reidhaughton.com and keep up with him on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

ABOUT REID HAUGHTON:
A country singer-songwriter from small-town Haleyville, Alabama, Reid Haughton mixes contemporary Country melodies with modern Southern rock-inspired vocals. Haughton’s influences were shaped by his father’s vast taste in music, which included everyone from Lynyrd Skynyrd to the Grateful Dead. With no interest in ever becoming a frontman, Haughton picked up a guitar for the first time during church lessons. It wasn’t long until his music teacher pushed him to hum some melodies along with his guitar. This quickly started Haughton’s transition from wanting to know how to play a few songs to tirelessly working to become a Country musician.
In his map dot town of population: 4,000, and until recently, a dry county, there were few opportunities for Haughton to hone his craft. When Haughton attended college at Auburn University, he’d knock on business doors and offer to play at local bars for free. He quickly became immersed in the college circuit, performing all throughout the Southeast.
Haughton’s ambition and ability to evolve have shown through his music career. After releasing the second song he had ever written titled “Make You Mine” in 2018, Haughton began participating in co-writes working with writers such as Adam Craig and Jordan Walker. In 2021, Haughton released his single, “Got the Girl” and toured throughout the South with rising artist Jordan Rowe. The up-and-comer has completed opening slots for artists like Dwight Yoakam and Jon Pardi. With plans to release his first project via River House Artists later this year, there’s a whole lot more on the horizon for Haughton.
