Nashville (February 8, 2022) – Platinum-selling COJO Music/Warner Music Nashville recording artist Cody Johnson has bolted into 2022 with new RIAA certifications, a smash single that is racing up the charts, and launching his tour with eleven sold-out concerts on the books.
The RIAA has given Gold certification to Johnson’s “Dear Rodeo” and his new single, “’Til You Can’t,” from Human: The Double Album bringing his career RIAA certifications to 12. Watch Johnson’s acoustic performance of “Dear Rodeo” HERE.
At the beginning of January, Johnson performed “’Til You Can’t” on the Kelly Clarkson Show which further catapulted the song’s popularity. This week, the single moves into the Top 10 on the country singles charts and to #1 on SiriusXM’s HOT 30 Weekend and the MusicRow CountryBreakout chart. It also continues its reign at #1 on Shazam’s Country Chart for the third consecutive week and has been named the #2 song on Taste of Country’s Top 40 Songs of February. To date, “’Til You Can’t” has garnered nearly 150 million global streams.
Johnson launched the first half of his 2022 touring calendar in late January with two sold-out shows and has since added an additional nine concerts posting sell-outs ahead of the dates. During Johnson’s sold-out stop in Pikeville, Kentucky’s Appalachian Arena, he played through a power outage caused by a blown transformer near the venue. With a ‘show must go on’ attitude as claimed by cmt.com, he played an acoustic show for the fans with lighting from the venue’s emergency system and ran extension cords from the tour bus generator to power a microphone and speakers.
